It looks like our robot secretary was taking a nap while we were recording. Here’s what you’ll find in this episode anyway.

We get started with our segment of what’s new. Jill tells about an urgent text message she received about not paying her fines at the toll bridge. We have a good reason to believe it’s a scam. Since none of us have much written down in our notes to open up with, we talk about the lack of toll roads in our area. Learn a little bit about toll bridges in St. Louis, or maybe you’ll just be as confused as we are. Terry gets distracted by the topic of disabled veterans license plate, and a VA grant that allows a blinded veteran to purchase a car. Jill recommends that we should say this for our anchor topic, but it’s too late. We Artie talked about it.

Jill has an update story to one she did about a mystery man who glued googly eyes to the statues. The vandal has been caught, and turns out to be a caseworker who deals with trafficked women and girls. He thought the googly eyes would be something to cheer them up and make them laugh for a change. The city did not see it the same way. Keith leads off with the timely news article about groundhog’s day. It turns out that PETA wants to do away with Punxsutawney Phil, and replace him with a weather prediction vegan cake. We’re not sure how I cake can predict the weather. We figured that the groundhog and his family are not being any less mistreated than animals in the zoo. Standby for more animal stories about a rooster beauty contest, flying frozen turkeys, and a few more from Terry.
