Jill reports on some fun swimming activities at her granddaughter’s house. Keith tells about a new medicine he’s been taking to help nerve damage in his hands.

Terry shares his birthday list and then it’s time for a random topic. When we spin the wheel today, that pops up on a trivia quiz. Although we’ve taken it before, we do it again. This time Terry and Jill get the answers correct.

In the news this week Terry leads off by talking about unusual cloud formations. Jill has a story at the zoo, and a great bear escape. Keith reports on a new high-tech alarm system for your house. You can choose to keep undesirable people away by paintballs or teargas. The stories keep coming with hungry giraffes, an inclusive naked Japanese festival, and some valuable Star Wars toys.

Anchor topic. We talk about the importance of getting initial help for a blind person. You would think that your eye doctor would be your primary source, but you would be wrong. Your doctor’s goal is to try to fix your eyes, not to admit defeat. The first things you want to do is find the local government agency in your county. They should be able to direct you to the services you need, get you signed up for disability and more.

As we wind down, Keith shares an email from a daughter who wanted to have a special day with her elderly father. We close it out with some final thoughts.
