Mighty Sea Mammals. (45)

extinguishers, fire extinguishers, households, industry, safety

Our opening is a little rough, which turns out to warn of more technical glitches to come. Terry leads off with a P.S.A. and a word on newsworthy happenings. Jill tells about her emergency zoom call just before recording today. Keith can’t recall his opening story, so shares a clip or two from a Christmas show he recently heard from the world of old time radio. Holidays of the week feature art, telephones, books, German celebrations, beer, ice cream, grandparents, and lots more fun stuff. If you know what some of the weird or obscure ones are, feel free to explain it to us.

Turning to the news headlines, Jill reports on used underwear for sale. Keith leads off with an expensive porn collection. Terry turns the tide to the theme of sea mammal’s, and a dolphin swimming in the front yard. Flood waters are blamed on a cow being stuck in a tree. A Florida diner rejects Joe Biden supporters, a house on a trailer blocks a Texas road, Germany has dirty money, and an unusual fish is caught. After a telephone interruption, we wrap up the news, but not without more input from helpful whales…

Somewhere along the way, the Retrobots have a behind-the-scenes adventure to keep the podcast safe. As usual, Jill’s words stump us, but more weird tech prevents Terry’s top ten list until after the anchor topic. We talk about fire safety in the home.
