Missing sister. (69)
today we are missing one of our hosts. Keith is joined by Terry to tell Why Jill couldn’t make it.
Besides giving details about Jill’s broken leg, Terry gives us an update about his granddaughter who corrected her aunt for using bad words.
Moving right along, we turn to our week of holidays which ends on March 1, a whole new month! As usual there are plenty of fun food days and other celebrations in February. March is a month that has a lot of month-long holidays, but Keith gets through the whole list in record time. The goal this week is to try to keep things short, so we trimmed down our news segment. There’s still a lot of funny Florida stories with lizards, criminal’s and weird things happening to people.
Without Jill present, Keith modifies the weird word segment and Terry delivers his usual top 10. His list is on the preferred sports of people of various walks of life. Our anchor topic is one about the American printing house for the blind, and a little history about their services. Not only have they been instrumental in providing print material for the blind over the years, they have had many innovations that people who are not blind have enjoyed. In particular, if it weren’t for inventions for the blind, cassette tapes and LP records might not have been developed. Also, the shift from brittle shellack to the more durable vinyl disks.
To wrap up, we have no emails, but Terry and Keith share their final thoughts.
