In our opening segment, we read a question from Megan about blindness adaptability in the kitchen. Since Jill is sick, we have a substitute to fill in for her. Robin joins Terry and Keith to participate in a trivia quiz. We all agree that whoever wrote the quiz doesn’t know what they were talking about.
In the news this week, we have stories about clashes with animals and modern life. A power grid is taken down by a plane crash, and another by a terrorist squirrel. bears attack inflatable dear. Then claim a community as their own while napping on porches. There’s even an entanglement a dear and Christmas lights.
Although Jill is missing today, Robin brings us her own set of weird words. She includes some popular words in use during the course of the year. Terry has a top 10 list about prisons, and the quality of life that inmates enjoy.
In our anchor topic is where we feature techniques in how blind people do things. Today it’s all about orientation and mobility. While we don’t have much to share today, Keith shares some information about an app that accesses a database of restaurant menus. We have an email about a phone call about some mishaps in the home. Then we close everything out with our final thoughts
