The Great Goat Adventure. (207)
we nearly forget to hit the record button before we get started today. However, Keith forgot to hit the button to start our robot secretary, so we are back to taking notes by hand this week.
Terry has a lot to get us started by talking about his prospect of getting some natural lawnmowers. Find out all the gritty details about having a goat or sheep as your pet. Jill is resting her sore throat, and doesn’t contribute. Keith tells about how his cat is quickly whittling away some of her nine lives.
Random Topic
We spin up our wheel of randomness and land on “Made up Movie Reviews.” The name of the game is that we share the title of movies, or TV shows coming out this week. That we make up what it’s about, based only on the title. Of course, what we say in our reviews are always 100% correct.
It’s that time of year, and we have a couple of Christmas titles to review.
News of the Week
Terry tells us about a couple of adventuresome parrots, just seeking out a little exercise. Jill has a story about some runaway goats, and an accompanying dog. Keith tells us about a lady driver who saw the ship. Terry has a little microphone trouble, but Jill has a follow-up about her bat beauty contest. We learn about some misbehaving bears and Alabama, the hazards of the career in breakdancing, and more. Where would we be without mentioning at least one world record?
Jill’s Weird Words
Once again, Jill presents the words and we try to guess what they mean. Somehow, we accidentally get one right, but we hope that you have fun as you listen and we try our best guesses.
Terry’s Top 10
Who says there are no stupid questions? Today we feature a top 10 list of stupid questions kids asked once there in college. While some of them should be things a person of that age should already know, we agree that we can see how a college age students might not know a couple of these.
Anchor Topic
The topic of the week is on living skills. We discussed automated homes using smart devices. None of us actually have a smart home system, although Terry is probably the one closest to it since he has so many Amazon devices. We share what we know about the set up and how to get things started. Once configured initially, a smart home system can greatly help the quality of life of a blind person.
We wrap up our show with a couple of emails. One involving a psychic adventure to learn about deceased pets. The other is a classic family story about a relative who was a farmer. We close it all out with our final thoughts.
