Traveling Animals and Their Humans. (165)

we opened by talking a little bit about our New Year’s Day traditions. Keith shares that the Disney short, “Steamboat Willie” is now in the public domain. There’s not much else to say, so Terry shares a few birthdays of the week. Our random topic is our “guess the year” game. It turns out to be something of a record breaker for the links it took to guess the correct year.

In the news, Terry leads off with a story about a friendly rock monitor lizard who was on vacation with some tourist. Jill tells about some twinned the year babies born on different dates, in different years. Speaking of babies, Keith has a story from the other end of the spectrum. A 90-year-old woman who is found alive in her body bag in the crematorium. There still more animals’ stories about ice fishing, kangaroos who escape, pooping cows and more traveling adventures.

Jill has a word list that seems to have a few repeats and it. It still doesn’t mean we don’t have fun trying to guess all the words. Terry’s top 10 list features products that sold their rights for only a dollar.

Our anchor topic is on manual skills. We don’t have much to discuss today. Be sure you send this email and ask us a blindness related question. We would love to answer it in that segment on a future episode.

We have an email from a traveler who helped the cops find a thief at her airport. Again, we need your help or emails. Send in your own funny family friendly stories, and will be glad to include them in the segment. Otherwise, we could be out of emails to feature for a while. To close everything out we share our usual final thoughts.
